Job Description
Role Summary:
Zambian Home Loan is seeking to engage an experienced Project Manager/Consultant to lead the development and launch an online application loan product. This role will involve overseeing a six-month end-to-end process of product development, from conceptualization to execution, while ensuring the selected system provider aligns with the product’s technical, operational, and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System requirements:

Purpose built system with tech-enabled functions.
-
Top tech platform that provides good user-experience for customers signing up and the ability to request for further loans.

Web-based portal extended to mobile app as ZHL scales
-
Built-in credit scorecard functionality
-
Whitelist functionality for targeting company employees
-
Ability to require company email address as proof of identity with 2-factor authentication.
-
KYC portal which can integrate to 3rd party “realness” service providers.

Ability to load customer debit cards as additional repayment security
-
3rd party integrations configurable as ZHL grows
-
Auto-document generation and e-signing functionality
-
Client statements, reminders automated.
2. System Provider Vetting:

Conduct a thorough evaluation of potential system providers for the Unsecured product.

Assess technical capabilities, scalability, security protocols, and alignment with product needs.

Work closely with the provider to ensure the system integration is seamless and meets the product’s specifications.

Perform ongoing evaluations to ensure the provider continues to meet the company’s needs.
3. Post-Launch Monitoring & Optimization:

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Proactively solve issues and remove roadblocks to ensure delivery timely.

Implement management strategies as necessary.

Oversee the product’s performance after launch, ensuring it meets KPIs.

Gather feedback, analyze performance metrics, and suggest improvements.

Collaborate with teams for ongoing optimization and updates.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Project Manager or Consultant in product development in the financial and technology sectors.

Expertise in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.

Strong experience in system provider evaluation, vendor management, and contract negotiation.

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
-
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards for product development.
