Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of
Contracts Specialist

Reporting to the Contracts and Local Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the aims and goals of the contracts section by ensuring adherence to LMC’s contract management processes.
Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

Administration of all on site contracts.

Management of Vendor Management Contracts.

Apply LMC’s tendering and contracting procedures in line with current policy.

Assist to ensure that all contractors on site conform to contractual obligations and that all commercial requirements of the company are maintained by each contractor.

Provide accurate commercial advice to LMC personnel on tendering and contractual matters.

Ensure all company policies and procedures in relation to contracting are adhered to.

Have input into the ongoing review of standard suite of contract terms and conditions to ensure standardisation and meets company’s requirements.

Assist in providing a consistent and quality service to all our customers and ensure customer satisfaction is achieved
.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
-
Minimum Degree in Purchasing and Supply or its equivalent.
-
Significant experience (5 years) in Contracts Management, preferably in the mining environment.

Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of International Contracts.

Member of ZIPS
-
Strong negotiation skills
-
Exposure to ERP
-
Sound knowledge of contract law both Zambian and English.
