Job description:

Purpose of the role:

The Coordinator – Long Term Planning oversees the development and implementation of long-term maintenance strategies, including the annual shutdown plan. The role ensures that the long-term maintenance program aligns with operational goals, maximizes equipment reliability, and adheres to FQM standards.

Job & Candidate Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the development of the 12-week look-ahead plan, annual shutdown plan, and other long-term maintenance schedules.

Ensure the efficient allocation of resources, materials, and manpower for long-term maintenance activities.

Monitor the progress of long-term maintenance plans and shutdowns, adjusting schedules and resources as required to meet timelines.

Lead cross-functional teams during the planning and execution of shutdowns, ensuring that all safety, compliance, and operational requirements are met.

Continuously review and improve long-term planning processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and execution of long-term maintenance goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in long-term maintenance planning within the mining or heavy industry sector.

Proficiency in CMMS, preferably Pronto.

Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale shutdowns and long-term maintenance strategies.

Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
