CORPORATION SECRETARY
The job holder is responsible for directing and monitoring the execution of efficient and effective company secretarial and legal services to the Board and Management of Zambia Airports Corporation, in line with relevant legislation, overall ZACL strategy, policies, standards, procedures and practices.
Key Performance Areas

Establish an integrated strategic framework that unifies governance, risk, compliance, and related assurance functions to achieve a consistent and holistic vision across the organisation.

Provide assurance to the Board on the adequacy and functionality of the company’s overall corporate governance processes.

Provide company secretariat services.

Manage and report on performance against Governance and Compliance’s strategic plan, with accountability to the Managing Director.

Direct and monitor reporting on legislative and statutory compliance as defined by ZACL, government, and relevant professional bodies.

Promote sound principles of Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management, ensuring relevant governance structures are in place.

Establish, manage, and maintain strategic relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.

Monitor the management of external counsel relationships.

Direct and manage the development and execution of project plans that support ZACL’s vision and short- and long-term objectives.

Direct and monitor the provision of guidance expertise, advising management on trends, best practices, and applicable policies and legislation.

Direct and monitor the execution of continuous improvement plans to ensure optimisation of operations, processes, innovation, and business continuity.

Champion change and oversee the evaluation of Governance and Compliance operations to enhance quality, efficiency, and output.

Monitor the delivery of project outcomes in line with Governance and Compliance plans and ZACL’s overall business strategy.

Manage, mentor, and empower employees and lead change within the unit to promote high performance, an optimal working environment, and cost-effective operations.

Drive a high-performance culture by taking accountability for an effective and well-articulated performance management process.

Foster an organisational culture and climate that is customer-oriented, value-driven, and aligned with ZACL’s shared values.
Qualifications

Grade 12 with 5’0′ level credits or better including English and Mathematics

Bachelor of Arts in Law

Qualified Practicing Lawyer admitted to the Zambian Bar for at least 5 years.
Experience
At least 8 years’ experience of which 5 years should be in managerial capacity.
