Job Purpose
To handle all sales functions for counter sales customers at the Colour Centre
Provide prompt and efficient customer service to achieve maximum sales & customer satisfaction
Take full control of the Colour Centre administration, stock control, cash and daily operations
Supervision of staff at the Colour Centre – the Shop Assistant and Tinter/Merchandiser
Key Responsabilities
Provide excellent customer service to all walk-in clients, including product advice, pricing, and colour selection.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Process invoices using ACCPAC and handle payments or coordinate with the Finance Manager for credit approvals.
Prepare daily banking summaries and ensure timely reconciliation.
Accurately file invoices and receipts in sequential order.
Ensure all orders and manual invoices are entered into the system by end of day.
Maintain daily stock records for received and dispatched goods.
Keep merchandise displays clean, attractive, and well-organized.
Stay informed about new products and upcoming promotions.
Prepare merchandise for customer collection or delivery.
Secure shop keys and alarm codes; do not share with others.
Coordinate with Head Office regarding stock transfers.
Supervise receiving, packing, and shipping operations.
Organize timely and accurate distribution of products to customers.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate stock movement and distribution records.
Conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and report to Finance Manager.
Reorder supplies as needed to maintain stock levels and meet customer demand.
Approve and document all stock movements; maintain proper filing.
Oversee stock rotation to reduce spoilage and improve handling efficiency.
Order special items and promotional materials when required.
Report and suggest action on slow-moving or damaged stock.
Monitor and manage receiving, storing, and issuing of stock with signed documentation.
Ensure timely settlement of customer accounts.
Use correct and accurate pricing on all invoices.
Ensure deliveries to clients are completed on time and improve OTIF (on-time, in-full).
Support company stock-taking exercises as needed.
Uphold and protect the Dulux brand and reputation.
Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, and Production Manager on stock reporting and reordering.
Monitor and report on competitor activity in your area.
Follow and implement Dulux sales systems and procedures.
Submit regular sales reports, including lead generation, competitor activity, market intelligence, daily sales, banking, and receipts.
Maintain communication with contractors, painters, lead providers, and professionals via phone.
Experience
Full Grade Twelve certificate
Diploma in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing
Competence in the MS Office suite is desirable
HSE experience is preferred
Candidates lacking formal qualifications but have necessary experience, skills with practical customer handling & sales competences would be considered
Exposure to FMCG environment would be a distinct advantage
