Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Head who will lead and manage our client’s operations within the designated region. This pivotal role involves overseeing the overall business strategy, driving growth, and ensuring the effective implementation of company policies.
Responsibilities
-
Ensure ongoing local programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality and control of finance and administration, sales, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals.

Lead, coach, develop, and retain the Company’s highly dedicated hub team.

Actively engage and energize coaches, local communities, government bodies and sponsors.

Support the Board, seeking their involvement with strategic direction for ongoing local expansion.

Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program components, to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, sponsors, and other stakeholders.

Refine systems of control and monitor adherence to support financial and other resources governance and administrative efficiency.

Expand local sponsorship revenue to support existing program operations and local expansion.

Deepen and refine all aspects of communications, with the goal of brand strengthening.

Use experience and existing relationships to create new opportunities to enhance the reach and impact of our client’s program.

Review the existing Zambian operations and make recommendations for potential changes to the local program.

Establish and communicate program results with an emphasis on the successes of the Zambian program as a model for international replication.
Skills

Proven leadership, coaching and relationship management experience.

Persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project management skills.

Action-oriented, entrepreneurial and innovative approach to business planning.

Passion, idealism, integrity and positive attitude.

Strong Microsoft Office suite knowledge.

Tech oriented but not necessarily skilled.

Ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalised strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth.

Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.

Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, develop high- performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives within a tight budget.
Qualifications
-
Advanced degree, with at least 10 years of senior management experience.

Track record of effectively leading and regionally and/or nationally scaling a performance and impact-based organisation and team in Africa.

Solid experience with systems & processes.

Past success working with government bodies, board of directors and donors with the ability to cultivate relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and cultures.

Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising/sales experience.
