Agricoop Newspaper is published by Lumbani Chilenga Investments Limited, a wholly-owned Zambian company. The paper was founded in 2009 to provide first-hand information to help educate and empower farmers in Zambia. Agricoop Newspaper is distributed countrywide in both hard and digital copies. Lumbani Chilenga Investments Limited also organizes the Agricoop Awards in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as the Farmers Choice Awards – Southern Africa.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Creative Officer located in Lusaka. The Creative Officer will be responsible for developing and producing creative content for Agricoop Newspaper, including graphics, illustrations, and layout designs. The Creative Officer will also be responsible for proofreading, collaborating with the editorial team, and ensuring timely delivery of content.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and design skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to proofread
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of agricultural industry is a plus
- Diploma in graphic design, visual communications, or related field
