Curriculum Development Manager – Closing Friday August 2nd 2024
Job Summary:
To oversee the designing, implementing, and refining of educational curricula at Pestalozzi, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and Pestalozzi principles. To oversee the instructional quality and training coordination to enhance educational outcomes and foster holistic student development
Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design and Implementation – Lead the design and development of comprehensive curricula that integrate academic subjects, practical skills, and ethical education for the Skills Hub that reflect Pestalozzi values and principles, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices. Ensure all courses are accredited with TEVETA

Instructional Quality Assurance – Provide guidance and support to Instructors in delivering effective and engaging lessons, utilizing innovative teaching methodologies and tools to optimize student learning experiences.

Training Coordination – Offer ongoing support and resources to teachers to enhance their instructional practices and classroom management skills.

Assessment and Evaluation – Develop assessment tools and methodologies to measure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with stakeholders such as curriculum specialists, teachers, and administrative staff and external partners including educational experts and community organizations to enhance curriculum effectiveness and relevance.

Research and Innovation – Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in curriculum development, pedagogy, and educational technology. Foster a culture of educational excellence and innovation within the organization, promoting collaborative and inclusive practices that support student success and well-being.

Performance Appraisal – Undertake and agree to performance targets and conduct appraisal for all staff under his/ her supervision

Reporting – Prepare reports, plans and budgets.
Education:
Grade Twelve (12) Certificate (six subjects)
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design.
Master’s Degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design.
Practicing licence from a Professional body.
Experience:
At least ten (10) years work experience in Curriculum Development in the education sector or with NGOs working with marginalized communities, with three (3 years) at management.
