Job Vacancy: Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description:

Nexus Zambia is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard our IT systems and data in Lusaka. The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze network traffic for security breaches.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Implement and manage security measures, such as firewalls and encryption.
• Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic investigations.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Provide training and awareness programs on cybersecurity.
• Prepare and maintain security documentation and reports.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Proficiency in security tools and software (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS).

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CISSP, CEH) preferred.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Teamwork and project management skills.

Experience:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
