Job Description

Provide leadership in directing the university’s research and innovation strategy and priorities; managing regulatory, administrative, compliance, and research support initiatives and developing fit for purpose policies that guide the conduct of research.

Will frequently interact with regulators including the Higher Education Authority and Zambia Qualifications Authorities

This position will regularly consult with the following:

• Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics)
• Deans of Schools
• Other Principal Officers

KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Advisory Role
Provide the University Council with expert advice on all matters related to research in the university.

2. Compliance
Maintain the integrity and complies with all regulations relating to academic research.

3. Communication
Shall perform the role of communications relating to publications of all research works of the university.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of Doctoral Degree (PhD)
