Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Digital Marketing and Communication Officer will enhance the company social media presences, including interacting with customers, promoting brand-focused interactive and engaging content, expanding opportunities for revenue. Launch optimized online adverts to increase company and brand awareness.

Summary of Key Responsibilities;

Creates marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including budget planning, content ideation, and implementation schedules
Set Digital Marketing Strategies using all necessary tools (e.g. website, emails, social media and blogs)
Work with the CEO to implement Communications/PR strategies
Ensures brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company department members, including advertising, product development, and brand management
Prepare online newsletters and promotional emails and organize their distribution through various channels
Represent the Company at Corporate Events
Draft and edit communications copy (e.g. press releases, publications, social media posts)
Build strong clients relationships through social media interaction
Keep up-to-date with the audience’s preferences and proactively suggest new campaigns
Liaise with Marketing, Sales, Design and Content teams to optimize customer experience and ensure brand consistency
Collects customer data and analyses interactions and visits, plus uses this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns
Reports progress to senior marketing management
Grows and expands company social media presence into new social media platforms, plus increases presence on existing platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram
Researches and monitors activity of company competitors
Provide creative ideas for content marketing and update website to Outsourced Vendors
Maintain partnerships with media agencies and vendors

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Marketing/Advertising or Communications or any related field
A Qualification in Digital Marketing will be a plus
Must have a minimum of 3-4 years’ work experience in Digital Marketing
Must be well-versed in the concepts surrounding Digital Marketing
Hands on experience with online marketing tools and practice
Experience implementing and optimizing Google Adwords Campaigns
Solid knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics
Skills and experience in Creative Content Writing
Must be a member of ZIM
