DIRECTOR – CORPORATE SERVICES (1 POSITION)
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director and Chief Executive Officer, the job holder will be responsible
for providing expert and professional advice and support on all Human Capital and
Administration, Information and Communications Technology, Communications and
Corporate Affairs, Transport and Logistics and Quarry Management activities.
Key R
esponsibilities will include:
a) Coordinating recruitment, selection and implementing induction trainings;
b) Overseeing effectively the development and review of human resources policies
in order to provide guidance and equity in service provision;
c) Handling all industrial relations aspects and human capital management to
ensure good industrial practices in the Agency, including providing sound advice
to the Director and Chief Executive Officer on all matters of employee relations;
d) Interpreting and implementing the terms and conditions of service for the
Agency’s employees to ensure employees are rewarded for their services to the
Agency;
e) Coordinating and implementing such training and development programmes for
all Agency employees that address employees’ skills gaps;
f) Overseeing the timely development of departmental and individual work plans
in order to monitor and evaluate individual performance;
g) Maintaining good working relations with the Union, Ministry of Labour and Social
Security, Emoluments Commission, and other Government Institutions to
facilitate communication with employees on matters affecting them and to gain
their confidence and trust in the Agency’s treatment of employees;
h) Developing and implementing appropriate policies and strategies in the area of
communication and corporate affairs;
i) Overseeing the operation of stone quarries and maintenance of vehicles, plant
and equipment;
j) Overseeing the management of ICT Systems and Services in order to facilitate
seamless user access to ICT services and e-services and ensuring adequate
cybersecurity;
k) Overseeing timely provision of administrative and logistical support services in
order to facilitate efficient and effective delivery of services;
l) Overseeing efficiently the development and review of risk management
interventions in order to facilitate the avoidance of occurrences with the
potential to prevent the attainment of department goals;
m) Directing and coordinating communication activities of the Agency and providing
Corporate Strategic Leadership in order to project a positive image of the
Agency to all key stakeholders and the general public; and
n) Performing any other lawful duties as may be assigned to him/her by the
Director and Chief Executive Officer from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 School Certificate;
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management/ Public Administration/
Psychology or related field;
Masters Degree in Human Resources Management/ Business Administration/
Public Administration;
Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience at senior management level;
Must be well acquainted with the Zambian Labour Laws; and
Membership of Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM) with
a current practicing certificate.

Highly literate in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
