The Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry (MCTI) established by the Metrology Act No. 6 of 2017. Its overarching mandate is to oversee the provision of Scientific, Industrial, and Legal Metrology services in the country.

The Agency hereby invites applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill the following vacant positions:

DIRECTOR CORPORATE SERVICES

REPORTING TO: Executive Director

LOCATION: Lusaka

JOB PURPOSE: To oversee the provision of Human Resources,Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Administration, Public Relations and Marketing services in order to promote efficient and effective operations of the Agency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY RESULT AREAS

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)

Human Resources and Administrative Policies

Oversees effectively the development, review and Implementation of Human Resources, Information andCommunication Technology (ICT), Public Relations and Administration policies in order to provide guidance and ensure equity in service provision.

Human Resource Management

Oversees effectively the Human Resource Management functions in order to facilitate efficient and effective operations of the Agency.

Administration Services

Oversees effectively provision of Administration, Logistical, Fleet Management, Asset Management and other support services in order to facilitate efficient and effective operations of the Agency.

Change Management

Oversees effectively the development and implementation of change management programmes in order to enhance productivity.

Information Communication Technology (ICT)

Oversees effectively the provision of ICT systems and services in order to facilitate seamless user access to ICT and e-services.

Public Relations

Oversees effectively public relations functions in order to enhance the image of the Agency.

Quality Assurance Management

Oversees effectively the coordination of development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems for support services in order to improve service provision efficiency and adherence to international standards and best practice.

Performance Management

Manages timely the development of work plans and the implementation of the performance management system in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance.

Directorate Management

Manages effectively Human, Financial and other resources in order to facilitate attainment of set objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

a) Full Form V/Grade Twelve School Certificate

b) Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/Human Resource Management or its equivalent. Master’s degree is an added advantage

c) Minimum relevant work experience of 10 years, 4 of which must be at Management level

d) Full Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM)
