EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Lukanga Water Supply & Sanitation Company Limited (LgWSC) is a private Company established under the Companies Act No 10 of 2017. It was incorporated on 21 March 2006 as a Commercial Water Utility (CU) Limited by shares wholly owned by the Local Authorities in Central Province. The CU was established as part of the GRZ water sub-sector reforms to improve delivery of water supply, sewerage and sanitation services to the urban and Peri-urban population in the Province.

Applications are hereby invited from highfliers who are suitably qualified and have performance based backgrounds to fill the position of:

District Superintendent (Grade 5; Required No 1)

Reporting to:- Area Engineer

Job Purpose

To plan, coordinate and manage operations at the district and ensure quality water supply and sanitation service provision.

Requirements

Grade 12 Full School Certificate with at least credits in English, Mathematics and any Science subject.
Diploma / degree in Water/civil/mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a reputable institution
Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position preferably in the water sector or Service industry.
Computer literate.
Good communicator both verbal and written with excellent planning and coordinating skills.
Able to lead a team of Superintendents, supervisors, and artisans through professional competence
Must be sober minded and a self-starter.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
