Description
The Dangote Cement Zambia is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our team. As a Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and plans based on rough sketches, specifications, and other design information provided by engineers and architects. You will use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and other tools to develop detailed and precise drawings of structures, machinery, and components for construction and manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to gather design specifications and requirements.
• Create clear and accurate technical drawings and blueprints using CAD software.
• Review and analyze rough sketches, drawings, and other design information to prepare detailed construction and manufacturing drawings.
• Ensure that all drawings adhere to standards and specifications.
• Make necessary modifications and revisions to drawings as requested.
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of drawings.

• Maintain a library of drawings, specifications, and other design documents.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in CAD software and techniques.
  Requirements
  • Associate degree or certification in drafting, CAD technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software (such as AutoCAD) to create technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of architectural, structural, and mechanical drafting principles and techniques.
  • Experience in creating drawings for construction and manufacturing projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
