Chilanga Cement, Ndola Plant, is looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified individuals to take up the roles of;

1. DRIVER

Overall Mission of the Role:
The mission is to drive delivery trucks and other company vehicles for the purposes of transporting cement products and any other items and people as the need arise.

Main Responsibilities:
• Timely and safe delivery of cement products or any assigned deliveries.
• Maintains the truck or any other assigned vehicle in a road worthy condition at all times.
• Ensures the delivery truck or any other assigned vehicle is kept clean at all times.
• Ensures the safety of material (safe from damage, theft and rain) from loading point to delivery point.
• Ensures that the loading pattern is advised and weight of the load is within the RDA requirements for axle and gross weight limits.
• Ensures that the load is adequately restrained and tarping done correctly.
• Ensures that the vehicle is in compliance with the requirements of the Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) and the road traffic department at all times.
• Ensures that any loaded cargo has necessary and adequate paper work for the movement from the origin to the destination.
• Ensure that no unauthorized passengers and cargo are loaded in the truck or any assigned vehicle. Provide feedback to the delivery manager on road conditions and any delivery challenges.
• Timely reporting of any unsafe conditions or mechanical faults on the truck or any other assigned vehicle.
• Ensures that assigned vehicles are regularly serviced.
• Performs other tasks assigned by superiors.

Qualifications, Experience and skills required:
• Grade 12 certificate
• PSV driving licence
• Three (3) years’ experience
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations
• Knowledge and skill in defensive driving
• Knowledge of the Zambian highway code
