In pursuit of its business strategies in Zambia, the company invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position mentioned below, to join its team at ORYX Energies Zambia Ltd, based on the Copperbelt and Lusaka.
Job Purpose:
-
The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient execution of product deliveries to customers using the Company Delivery Truck.

The job holder shall ensure strict adherence to the company’s HSSEQ guidelines especially Road Transport Safety and Customer satisfaction requirements.
He or She will be directly reporting to the
Depot Supervisor.
Main Duties:
-
Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
-
Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and the customer is satisfied.

Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
-
Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory health and safety legislation i.e. vehicle and driver has all the required licenses at all times, conducting daily vehicle fitness checks.

Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
-
Participation in the site’s emergency response activities for the depot.

Conduct minor vehicle maintenance activities

Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
-
Providing excellent customer service, answering questions and handling customer complaints
-
Preparing of Loading/Delivery documents
-
Collection and filing of Proof of Deliveries.
-
Assisting in daily depot activities such as stock count, LPG filling, Housekeeping, Bookkeeping and document filing.

Operating loading and offloading equipment such as forklifts.

Minimum Education /Tertiary Qualification:
-
Grade 12 Certificate.
-
Qualified Forklift Operator
-
Class D driver’s licences.
-
Dangerous Goods driving license from a reputable institution.
-
Two years’ proven logistics experience, preferably in the Petrochemical industry.
-
Basic understanding of Petroleum Products will be added advantage.
-
Automotive mechanic knowledge will be added advantage.
-
Understanding of basis Emergency response requirements i.e. First Aid and Fire Fighting will be added advantage.
-
Self-driven; ability to work independently and ability to make wise decisions on the spot.

Good communication skills, listening, talking and writing

Team player
-
High level of integrity.
