About the Position

WorldFish Zambia office is recruiting a Driver to provide efficient and effective services for the operations and programs of the Zambia Office and assist the Administrative Department in carrying out assigned tasks in order to have an efficient delivery in office operations.

The successful candidate has key responsibilities in the following areas:

  • Providing driving services to WorldFish projects and general office operations according to official assignments.
  • Collecting and delivering mail and carrying out assigned errands.
  • Maintain cleanliness of WorldFish vehicles, ensure timely service and repairs.
  • Compile logbooks and generate fuel analysis reports.
  • General office support as assigned by supervisor and other senior staff.

Requirements

This job is open to Zambia Nationals with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Valid driving license Class C.
  • At least 3 years of driving skills and clean record as a professional driver experience preferably with an INGO.
  • High level of organization and planning skills.
  • Demonstrate experience skills in vehicle maintenance management.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience of fleet management.
  • Should be able to deal with general administration activities such as photocopying and filling.
  • Experience of extensive up-country travel and interaction with local authorities and communities.

This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position and WorldFish offers a competitive remuneration package including comprehensive benefits (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, employer provident fund contribution, paid leave and others. The duration of the contract will initially be for a five months period under a temporary contract with possibility for extension, depending on funding and performance.
