Purpose of Role
The Zambia Postal Services Corporation Driver’s main objective is to perform general duties of a Driver.
Duties and Key Responsibilities

To ensure that all deliveries are completed in time and any undelivered items are properly accountable for.

To abide by Corporation’s policy pertaining to handling of Corporation vehicles, carrying out regular checks on the condition of the vehicles and its road worthiness.

To conduct pre-shift checks of the vehicle to ensure that it is in sound operating condition and compliant to all road traffic regulations before driving it.

To conduct minor repairs to the vehicle assigned such as changing brake pads, tires, oil, filters and light bulbs.

To keep an up-to-date record of travel on a daily basis by making entries on trips in the vehicle log book.

Keeping the vehicles clean at all the times, adhering to road rules and regulation at all times and operates assigned vehicle in safe and courteous manner.

To assist in the processing and handling of mail.

To assist with other duties work as and when required by superior officer.
Qualifications/Requirements

Full Grade Twelve (12) certificate with at least a credit in English and Mathematics.

Candidates must possess a valid PSV Driving License with clean traffic records.

At least Five (5) Years’ experience driving.
-
Tertiary Education Certificate will be an added advantage.
-
Defensive driving course and basic knowledge in Mechanics will be added advantage.
