The Zambia Metrology Agency (ZMA), a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and interested candidates to fill the following vacant position:

POSITION: Driver (1)

1. Purpose of the Job: To drive vehicles in order to facilitate the mobility of officers and materials in the Agency.

2. QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade Tweve (12) School Certificate
• Driver’s Licence (Class C)
• 2 Years minimum relevant pre-job experience

3. KEY RESULT AREAS

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (MAIN DUTIES)

Driving

Undertakes regularly the transportation of officers, materials and equipment in order to facilitate smooth operations.

Accident Reports

Undertakes timely the preparation of accidents reports in order to facilitate decision making.

Log Books

Undertakes timely the completion of log books in order to enhance accountability for journeys.

Vehicle Inspections

Undertakes timely the inspection of vehicles under their charge in order to ensure their road worthiness.

Cleanliness

Undertakes effectively the cleaning of vehicles under their charge in order to ensure their suitability for use.

Faults

Undertakes timely the reporting of the vehicles faults in order to facilitate their resolution.
