Job description
The key purpose
of this role is to lead the Maltings E&F team in achieving and exceeding production performance targets. This position requires a proactive leader who can drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Key roles and responsibilities:

Co-ordinate autonomous maintenance and cleaning

Manage the equipment and lead the team during shift according to best operating practices whilst ensuring safe working practices are adhered to.

To make minor adjustments to machinery to maintain line efficiencies and quality requirements.

Monitor production processes
-
Interpret and implement production plan for shift
-
Support the team to improve process quality and productivity
-
Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
-
Ensure application of administration systems and procedures
-
Prepare and control budgets
-
Maintain safe, healthy and risk-free working environment
-
Implement safety, health & environmental legislation and procedures
-
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
-
Availability and appropriate use of protective clothing by production staff ensured

Minimum Requirements:
-
Tertiary technical qualification, preferably Higher National Diploma or Bachelor degree in science field
-
Experience: 2-3 years in Brewing or Malting industry or related field at middle management level

Training: Min – 3 months on the job training Ideal – 6 months on the job training
-
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (eg. COSWIN)
-
Deep understanding of maintenance practices
-
Good understanding of the principles and practices of VPO
