Job Description

Position: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher
Location: Twitti Primary School – Lilayi, Lusaka, Zambia

We are looking for someone who:

– Believes in the power of foundational education
– Is nurturing, patient, and creative in engaging young learners
– Is committed to the academic and social development of every child
– Understands the value of community-centered education

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities
– Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
– Monitor and assess individual learning progress
– Foster open communication with parents/guardians
– Participate in school-wide events and development workshops

Minimum Qualifications:

– Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
– Registered with the Teaching Council of Zambia
– Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children aged 3–6 years
– Strong classroom management and communication skills
– Demonstrated ability to teach early reading, writing, and foundational mathematics using age-appropriate, engaging methods
– Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of a local language is an asset
