The Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) was established by an Act of Parliament No. 15 of 2003 on 20th September, 2003. As a professional regulatory body, ZIPS is responsible for regulating, training, promoting, and advancing best practices in supply chain management. The institute also collaborates with stakeholders to enhance sustainable socio-economic development in Zambia. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals with a vision to excel in the following positions:-

EDUCATION OFFICER (01)

JOB PURPOSE

The Education Officer is expected to coordinate educational and training activities in order to contribute to the achievement of the Department targets

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Working under the supervision of the Education and Training Manager, the specific responsibilities of the Education Officer shall be:

• Developing departmental operational plans
• Developing departmental budgets in liaison with the Education and Training Manager
• Preparation and submission of periodic activity reports to inform Management review of departmental activities
• Developing and reviewing of curriculum and materials
• Management of internship programs
• Preparation of certificates for students that have met training requirements
• Forming and supporting student chapters
• Formulation of bespoke training programs in line with the Education and Training Policy
• Management of the student registration process
• Management of exemption applications
• Assessing applications for accreditation by tuition and practical training
• Provision of secretarial services to the Professional, Education and Training Committee
• Liaison with tuition service providers and industry in order to enhance the quality of learning and training of ZIPS Students.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) credits including Mathematics and English
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education
• Member of a professional body with a valid practicing licence
  Three (3) years relevant experience
• Excellent customer and personal service skills with the use of relevant tools and technology to enhance customer centricity
• Knowledge of management of the entire education and training process
• Knowledge of quality assurance in higher education
• Knowledge of management of the entire examination process
