ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

The job holder is responsible for designing electrical drawings for Manager Electrical Engineer’s approval, plan, monitor and coordinate of repairs and maintenance works of Zambia Airports Corporation Limited. He is also responsible for maintaining electrical infrastructure at the designated International Airports and surrounding Air Navigation equipment to ensure smooth Operations.

Key Performance Areas

Project identification
Preparation of preliminary feasibility studies to formulate terms of reference for tendering
Preparation of project briefs
Preparation of project proposals and cost estimates
Certification of measured works under execution and preparation of payment certificates
Preparation of electrical infrastructure designs and technical specifications
Manage and monitor projects to ensure adherence to specifications, local procedures, and conditions
Maintenance and upgrading of existing electrical infrastructure to meet ICAO standards
Manage and participate in the maintenance of high-voltage installations and major repair works
Prepare a monthly report to management on the status of electrical infrastructure

Qualifications

Grade 12 with 5 0′ level credits or better including English, Mathematics and Science
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.ENG)
Computer Literate in Engineering Software
Valid Driver’s Licence

Experience

Minimum. of three (3) years post qualifying experience preferably in aviation/construction/mining industry.

Professional Membership

Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
