2) Electrician (Technician ) – Solar / Renewable Energy

Job description
The Solar Installation Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems. This role requires technical expertise in solar panel installation, electrical wiring, and system troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of solar energy principles and a passion for renewable energy solutions.

Roles and responsibilities
Proven experience in solar PV system installations, preferably in a technician role.
Solid understanding of solar energy principles, PV system components, and electrical wiring.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for solar installations.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues related to solar energy systems.
Knowledge of local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for solar installations.
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems according to design specifications, applicable codes, and safety standards.
Conduct site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar installations, including assessing roof conditions, shading analysis, and electrical system compatibility.
Perform electrical wiring and interconnection of solar panels, inverters, and other system components.
Conduct troubleshooting and repair work on solar energy systems, including identifying and resolving issues related to wiring, connections, and equipment malfunctions.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of installations, while adhering to project schedules and quality standards.
Conduct system performance testing and commissioning, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during installations and maintenance activities.
