JOB PURPOSE
To lead the provision of professional and consultative services to line management in the implementation of Airtel Zambia HR Administration Solutions including industrial relations, visa and travel management, office facility and management, employee wellbeing initiatives in order to ensure smooth operations of the office and improved quality of HR service delivery required for staff to deliver on Organisational targets in line with business strategy.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
-
• Providing support to line management in the establishment of Key Result Areas for low performers.
-
• Conducting KRA or goals quality audit, monitoring of performance improvement plans for staff of low level of performance and reporting the progress on a monthly basis.

• Coordination and Implementation of HR change management initiatives.

• Ensuring Employee Engagement Survey deployment and participation.
-
• Managing and optimization of the local travel HR budget.
-
• Providing management with security strategy.
-
• Overseeing travel for all Airtel staff and official guests travelling to and from Airtel Zambia.

• Ensuring Employee Welfare Committee is in place and active in the implementation of staff wellbeing initiatives.

• Disciplinary and Grievance handling.

• Coordinating statutory audits as it relates to employee relations compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
-
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required.
-
• A Human Resource Professional Qualification e.g. CIPD, SHRM, HRCI, etc. required.
-
• Contracting and negotiation skills at a senior level together with ability to influence.
-
• Strong Budget and Management skills including proven ability to Process/manage change.
-
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, multiple priorities, and demanding customers in a fast moving, constantly and changing environment.
-
• High degree of Professionalism, Maturity and Confidentiality.
Relevant Experience:
-
• 5-8+ years of general HR experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in facilities management, 4 years in Industrial relations and employee support services.
-
• Relevant experience of leading and/or participation in cross functional teams.
-
• Industrial relations and Government stakeholder engagement.
-
• Change management.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).
