Job description:
The incumbent will be responsible for maintenance of resources in Optimization and provision of resources for other supportive functions. The incumbent will also be responsible for tracking production KPIs and advise personnel accordingly.
Key Responsibilities

The incumbent will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

Contribute to the safety process improvements of the mine

Critically assess all production processes for potential improvement

Take interest in potential project and draw up proposals

Fleet management and Optimization
-
Collect and analyze data related to production, cost, and project performance
-
Develop and plan mining projects, including feasibility studies, project scheduling, and budgeting and compile Monthly progress reports

Support supervisory roles within production team

Other duties as directed by the Direct Supervisor

Identify areas for operational improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency

Supervise mining operations to ensure efficiency and productivity

Lead and mentor junior engineers, technicians, and other team members
Qualifications
-
Full Grade 12 Certificate
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or Related fields

Valid First Aid Certificate
-
Valid Blasting Licence
-
Valid Driver’s Licence
Experience
-
At least 3 – 5 years of mining experience is required

At least 2 years of experience in open-pit mine operations
