Position reports to

PURPOSE
Manage and maintain high standard of all sports facilities including planning, organizing, and overseeing various sports programs and activities across the Kansanshi Golf Estate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The holder of this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

Design, manage and communicate the annual sports calendar.

Manage coaching services to the junior academies and members.

Establish and manage a Pro shop for the necessities of all sports and introduce a booking service for all sports facilities and coaching services.

Ensure outside members and guest users are welcome and advised on rules, procedures, and practices.

Manage the standard of all sports facilities.

Create and manage events for KGE and maximise sports competitions in all disciplines and encourage, sponsored and corporate competitions.

Uphold the rules of the club as per the constitution.

Manage the KPA’s of subordinates.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in physical education,

Bachelor of Business Administration
EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years experience

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Build sports calendars around predetermined maintenance plans.
-
Fix dates for traditional club competitions and where necessary initiate new.

Encourage and maximise competitions for members on non-sponsored days.

Manage and source coaches in all sports disciplines.
-
Formalise the establishment of junior curriculums in such development programs.
-
Ensure etiquette and rules are well established in such training programs.

Facilitate training programs for all members.

Set up and oversee pro shop accommodating essential items used by the relevant sports disciplines including rental equipment
-
Manage an appropriate accounting program which includes a booking system.

Devise and methods and actions to maximise sales and facility use.
-
Encourage staff to ensure that all visitors, guests, and members feel welcome.

Make up an abridged guide to hand out to visitors and guests.

Create social competitions for all sports i.e. squash – leagues, ladders and championships, tennis – juniors, mixed doubles, family tournaments, championships, golf – social family days, sponsored competitions etc.

Set up and encourage ladies weekday competitions.

Organize and oversee events on the KGE for the benefit of residents and club members, promoting their overall wellbeing. Make it readily available for members on request.
