Job Description

Location:  Mpika, Zambia

Engagement Type: Consultancy Contract (Remote with periodic site visits)

Duration: Two months (renewable based on performance)

Background: Nelraim Acres Foundation is a growing agro-enterprise based in Mpika, focusing on citrus farming, poultry, and livestock. To support efficient operations and strategic growth, we are seeking a qualified Farm Operations Consultant to guide and support the implementation of farm work plans, review systems, and provide remote and on-site technical oversight.

Scope of Work

– Develop and monitor weekly/monthly work plans for farm operations

– Provide technical advice on crop and livestock management, including citrus, goats, and poultry

– Conduct field visits to supervise implementation and assess progress

– Evaluate current practices and recommend improvements

– Guide inventory and input use efficiency

– Submit Biweekly operational review reports with recommendations

– Support staff performance tracking and recommend capacity improvements

Expected Deliverables

– Detailed operational work plans and task schedules

– Monthly performance and improvement report

– Site visit reports (minimum once per week)

– End-of-contract technical summary with actionable insights

Consultant Profile

– Diploma or Degree in General Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, or related field

– Minimum 3 years’ experience managing or consulting for mixed farming operations

– Strong understanding of livestock and citrus crop practices

– Excellent reporting and remote supervision skills

– Ability to travel periodically and work with minimal supervision.
