About the role:
Our client is seeking a smart, hands-on, and entrepreneurial-minded Feed Mill Production Supervisor to manage operations at their feed production facility. The Feed Mill Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all daily production activities within the feed mill facility. This role ensures that feed products are manufactured efficiently, on schedule, within quality standards, and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The supervisor will lead and support production staff, monitor equipment performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, schedule, and coordinate feed mill production staff to ensure smooth operations.

Oversee daily feed manufacturing processes, including mixing, grinding, pelleting, and packaging.

Monitor production output to meet established targets for volume, efficiency, and quality.

Ensure adherence to feed formulation, quality control standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., hygiene, safety, environmental).

Conduct regular inspections of equipment and coordinate maintenance/repairs to prevent downtime.

Train, coach, and evaluate production staff, promoting teamwork and safe work practices.

Implement and monitor safety protocols, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines.

Maintain accurate production records, reports, and inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.

Collaborate with other departments (procurement, logistics, quality assurance) to optimize workflow.

Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Qualifications:

A background of mechanical or electrical engineering to work on the feed mill

Minimum 3 years’ experience in feed mill production or related manufacturing field

Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of feed manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards.

Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and work independently

Understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, production software an advantage).
