Main Purpose:
-
Responsible for the design and execution of master and tactical marketing plans for seed and CP products and paid media, including campaign management, marketing programs, product marketing communication and promotional activities.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
-
Implement and execute on customer (farmer and channel) focused marketing campaigns linked to GtM strategies to achieve business targets of the customer facing squads.

Core responsibilities in development and implementation of marketing campaigns

Develop core messaging for products, USP and value proposition aligned to MD and GtM Manager
-
Identify new and innovative (disruptive) ways and concepts to increase brand awareness, product usage and market share.
-
Track effectiveness of campaign /communication and implement action basis learning.
-
Plan and support the execution of promotional and trade events.
-
Build collaborative working relationships with key internal and external partners (suppliers and agencies) to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply and service delivery of marketing material and services in line with guidelines and strategy.

Implement a process to track key competitors marketing and campaign approaches and activities.
-
Collaborate with business intelligence and customer insight team to develop in depth market and customer understanding to ensure marketing campaigns are customer focused.

Optimize approved budget, ensure efficient spend on external resources, services, tools, and media.

Manage and track monthly the annual advertising, promotional and demand generation budget for Zambia

Qualifications & Competencies:
-
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture/agronomy, marketing, brand management, business administration or related fields.
Minimum 5 year’ experience in marketing or sales – preferably in smallholder markets in Africa

Experience in tactical and strategic marketing, including digital marketing
-
Sound corporate business acumen including strong relationship development skills .

Ability to work with multiple cross functional teams in the implementation of successful strategic business plans aligned to customer needs within the smallholder market

Highly motivated, creative, dynamic and well organized
-
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluent in English, oral and written, is required
-
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with associated deadlines for deliverable results.

Proven ability to influence effectively in a matrix organization and works well in teams.
-
Ability to drive change in complex and stable organization without disrupting mutual aligned business processes to reach business targets.
