Minet’s presence in Zambia dates back to 1952 when J. H. Minet Zambia Limited was established as a locally registered insurance broking and risk management company. The company was nationalized in 1976 but J.H. Minet’s involvement continued in the form of a management contract for the nationalized entity, Zambia National Insurance Brokers (ZNIB) until 1989.
In 1996, Minet reinvested in Zambia by way of a green-field operation and was acquired the following year by Aon Corporation by virtue of Aon’s acquisition of the worldwide operations of the Minet Group. As a result, the company became Aon Minet, and subsequently Aon Zambia Limited. In 2017, private equity firm, Capital works acquired Aon’s shareholding in several African operations, which has created what is now Aon’s largest Global Network Correspondent.

JOB OPPORTUNITY: FINANCE MANAGER

Roles and Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Budgeting: Developing financial plans budgets and forecasts.
Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports and metrics. Financial analysis: Analyzing financial data to inform business decisions.
Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating financial risks. Cash flow management: Managing cash flow funding and investments. Compliance: Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and laws. Team Management: Leading and developing finance teams. Support to the Chief Financial Officer on operational matters.
Qualifications, professional memberships& experience
Full Grade 12 school certificate, with at least 5 credits at ‘O’ levels
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or professional qualifications such as: Full ACCA/CA (Z)/CIMA
Must be a paid-up Associate or Fellow member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing a finance department in a reputable company.
Experience in external audit and/or the insurance industry will be considered an added advantage.

Must be a Self-Starter: Takes initiatives, identifying opportunities and acting on them.
Strong ICT skills. Experience in use of any accounting package will be an added advantage.
