The University of Ndola is a Proposed University established to operate in the City of Ndola right in the Central Business District along Buteko Avenue Opposite Savoy Hotel. The Ndola University (Proposed) is a yet to be registered Higher Learning Institution with the Higher Education Authority (HEA) as a Private University College mandated to train students in various Diplomas and Degree programmes. As it rolls out its presence on the Copperbelt and beyond, The Ndola University (TUN) (Proposed) has embarked on recruitment of critical staff of high caliber to fill vacant positions. FINANCE MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE
To gather and monitor financial data, preparing accurate financial statements, forecasting costs and revenues, managing tax payment and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and support the university’s financial decisions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (balance sheets and income statements)

Forecasting costs and cash flow for the university and monitoring and reporting on accounting discrepancies.

Preparing budgets (for the entire university and by departments)

Conducting detailed risk analysis to assess potential investments and analyzing financial trends Taking accountability of the balance sheet reporting including accounting treatment, forecasting and presentation for internal and statutory purposes.

Providing periodic internal reports on projects, expenditures, balance sheet cash and treasury for all university ventures.

Providing periodic external reports to stakeholders, including the Annual Accounts, for information, compliance and assurance purposes.

Providing effective financial planning, directing, reporting advice to the university.
Qualification and Experience & Skills
The University seeks an individual with

Grade twelve (12) Certificate with 5 O Levels which must include English Language and Mathematics

Full ZICA, CA(Z), ACCA, CIMA or. BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
-
At least 4 years’ experience in a senior management role.

Experience of managing computerized accounts systems.

Experience in analyzing company financial data

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
-
Must be a Valid member of ZICA
