Job Vacancy: Financial Controller

Job Description:

North Star is looking for a competent and experienced Financial Controller to manage our accounting and financial reporting processes in Lusaka. The Financial Controller will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the accounting department.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Develop and implement internal controls and accounting policies.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage external audits and liaise with auditors.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Experience:

• At least 7-10 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
