Job Description:

As a Software Developer at BGS, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that drive our products and services forward. You will be involved in the entire software development life cycle, from conceptualization to deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Software Development – Design, code, test, and debug high-quality software applications and services using the latest programming languages and technologies.
• Technical Design – Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and detailed designs.
• System Architecture – Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable and robust software architectures that support the growth and performance of our products.
• Continuous Improvement – Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in the software development industry, and apply that knowledge to improve our development processes.
• Code Reviews – Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and best practices are followed.
• Testing and Quality Assurance- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the software applications.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging – Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs that arise during development and in production environments.
• Collaboration – Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to achieve project objectives and deliver outstanding products.
• Documentation – Create and maintain technical documentation for developed software and APIs.
• Innovation – Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to improve existing products and create new solutions.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in one or more programming languages and a solid understanding of software development principles and practices.

Front-end : Proficient in any of the following:

• (UI/UX, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, responsive design, vueJS or reactJS is a plus)

Backend: Proficient in any of the following:

• (Java SpringBoot with JPA, dot Net Core with EF).
• API design and implementation
• Automated test (Unit/Feature tests)

Database:

• PostgreSQL, MongoDB

Deployment:

• CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes

• Communication – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Portfolio – Provable portfolio of past projects or contributions to open-source projects
• Proven experience in software development, preferably in a technology-focused company or startup.
