Mununshi Fruit Company Limited (MFCL) is a 313Ha fruit plantation located in Mwense, Luapula Province. It currently produces bananas with future expansion to include the other commercially viable fruits, for supply into the local and regional markets. The company aims to play a significant role in import substitution, job creation and economic growth.
As part of its growth strategy, a need has arisen to fill the following position:

GENERAL MANAGER (MFC 1)

The General Manager shall act on behalf of the Board of Directors in keeping with polices, vision, mission, and core value of Mununshi Fruit Company Limited (the “Company” or “MFCL”). The General Manager shall provide overall oversight and leadership of the company to ensure that formulated strategies are implemented in line with the overall strategic intent of MFCL.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate with 5 O levels.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, Horticulture Agricultural Engineering, Business Administration and / or other relevant field or professional qualifications from a reputable institution.
• Master’s degree in business agriculture, Agribusiness Management, Horticulture Agricultural Engineering, Business Administration and / or other relevant field or professional qualifications from a reputable institution.
• Professional Membership to a relevant body.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in agribusiness management/similar, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Strong understanding of the agricultural value chain and market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and profitability in a competitive environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and implement innovative solutions.
