Job Description:

Nexus Zambia is looking for a skilled and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to conduct site investigations and analyze soil and rock conditions in Lusaka. The Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site investigations and analyze soil and rock conditions.
Prepare geotechnical reports and recommendations.
Design foundations, retaining structures, and other geotechnical solutions.
Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and contractors.
Monitor and inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with geotechnical recommendations.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for geotechnical issues.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Geotechnical Engineer or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
Proficiency in geotechnical software and MS Office.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.

Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Teamwork and project management skills.

Experience:

At least 3-5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
