Job Title: Grants Administrator
Reporting to: Chief Finance Officer
Location: Johannesburg/Harare with frequent Regional Travel.

Role Description
This full-time, on-site position is based in Johannesburg/Harare. The Grants Administrator will be instrumental in enhancing the organisation’s grant-making processes, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources, and maintaining compliance with legal and financial requirements. Additionally, the role involves comprehensive reporting on grant-making activities. The Grants Administrator will collaborate closely with the Programmes implementation team, coordinating with potential grantees, managing the application process, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. The role also includes working in partnership with the Head of Programs Implementation and the Monitoring & Evaluation Head on grant- funded initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or work experience in Grants Administration, Accounting or related field;
Certificate or other training in Grant Writing and/or Administration and a minimum of five (5) years increasingly responsible experience in Grant Development, Management and Administration.
Experience with non-profit organizations preferred;
Advanced systems skills, especially experience with donor and Grantmaking software
Competencies
Strong understanding of the grant-making process, including proposal evaluation, fund disbursement, and project monitoring.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess project proposals and monitor outcomes effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
Experience with database management and reporting tools. Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to grant-making.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including grantees, donors, and internal teams.
