Position Overview
The Head Sales and Distribution is responsible for merchants acquisition and retention. The Head S&D is also responsible for managing the acquisition and retention teams and will manage a specific region of the business’ demarcated regions.
Job Responsibilities

Formulate merchant recruitment and retention strategies for specific regions

Manage merchant profitability
-
Grow EVD, Cash Deposits, Cash Withdrawals, Merchant Payments and Online payments business lines
-
Assist in recruitment of junior sales teams for regional sales coordinators
-
Inspire and drive merchants strategy through sales teams
-
Manage merchant support and training
-
Market analysis on products trends as well as merchant trends
-
Contribute to new product development as well as enhancement of existing products
-
Manage the region sales coordinators ensuring revenue and expenditure targets are met
-
Guide exco on sales strategies for their regions and align sales to company goals
Accountability and Performance Measures

Accountable for achievement of revenue targets for the following business lines:

Airtime and Bill Payments

Cash Deposits and Cash Withdrawals

Merchant and Online Payments
-
Accountable for performance of the regional sales coordinators

Accountable for revenue target achievement and expense management in appointed region
As well as above, any other duties given by management
Organizational Alignment

Reports directly to the managing director
-
Will manage directly the sales team for appointed region
Qualifications
-
Minimum 3-year degree in any field
-
Four years post qualification experience in a management position
-
Four years post qualification sales experience in an FMCG environment
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital financial services
-
Experience in leading a team of 5 or more people
-
Passed cGrate sales aptitude test
