Zambia Sugar Plc. is a subsidiary of Illovo Sugar Africa (Pty) Ltd Group and is the leading sugar producer in Zambia. Its main activities are the growing of sugar cane, the production and marketing of sugar and other sugar downstream products.

The Company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position at Nakambala Private School:

POSITION: HEAD TEACHER – SECONDARY SCHOOL (PERMANENT) x 1 – RE–ADVERTISED

The position reports to the School Principal. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient Management of secondary School.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Preparation of data base for fees at secondary level.
Ensure payments of school fees by all pupils at secondary level.
Ensure efficient operation of production unit.
Ensure customer service satisfaction through:
- Ensure teachers at Secondary prepare quality and standard lesson plans, schemes of work and record of work.
- Ensure teachers at secondary design teaching and learning Aids.
- Ensure safety and security of the institution premises and property.
Ensure all teachers at secondary school adhere and implement approved national curriculum and respective syllabi.
Ensure efficient direct reports and novice teachers’ development through coaching and mentoring.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements areas

Grade 12 Certificate
Degree in Education, a master’s degree will be an added advantage.
At least 10 years’ experience of teaching at secondary school level with minimum of 2 years in school administration.
Certified school certificate examination maker.
Financial and general school management.
MS & Excel Computer literacy.
Good interpersonal, Leadership and Communication Skills.
Valid practicing license from the Teaching council of Zambia.
Age between 30 – 45 years.
