Job Description

Huachen International Supply Chain limited is currently seeking to employ a Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) Supervisor to add value to our growing team.

HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENTAL, AND QUALITY (HSEQ) SUPERVISOR (X1)

REPORTS TO : Fleet/Operations Manager

DEPARTMENT : Tanker Fleet

LOCATION : Ndola

JOB PURPOSE

To implement HSEQ initiatives, processes, and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements for a healthy and safe working environment.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. HSEQ Management Systems: Developing, implementing, and continuously improving HSEQ management programs and systems, including aligning with standards like ISO.
  2. Compliance and Legislation: Advising and assisting management with implementing new and existing HSEQ-related legislation, rules, and company standards.
  3. Risk Management: Conducting risk assessments, including COSHH and fire risk assessments, and implementing measures to eliminate or minimize risks.
  4. Inspections and Audits: Performing regular prevention inspections, ensuring maintenance of safety standards, and conducting annual H&S audits and quality assurance checks.
  5. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigating accidents and ensuring all documentation is updated, as well as preparing performance and compliance reports.
  6. Training and Communication: Developing and delivering training on HSEQ matters, including safety.
  7. Quality Assurance: Ensuring products are manufactured according to company quality systems, safety standards, and customer requirements, and assisting with quality control functions.
  8. Liaison and Communication: Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including management, staff, contractors, and sometimes customers, regarding HSEQ matters and complaints.
  9. Develop and manage the company fleet/management system.
  10. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Fleet Manager/Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Diploma in Health and Safety
  2. Must possess Health and Safety certificates
  3. Have at least 5 years of experience working in a fleet, including at least 2 years of experience managing drivers
  4. Familiar with the transportation routes in Tanzania and the DRC
  5. Tanker truck fleet work experience
