Job Description

Qualifications

  • Must have a Diploma in Human Resource Management or Public Administration from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience.
  • Refined knowledge of Zambia Employment Labour Laws.
  • Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).
  • preferably female

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal details, employment history, and benefits information.
  • Coordinate employee time-off requests.
  • Assist with payroll processing, including data entry, benefits administration, and compliance with labour laws.
  • Prepare and distribute employee communications, including company news, policies, and benefits information.
  • Respond to employee inquiries, provide guidance, and resolve issues.
  • Assist in resolving employee conflicts, grievances, and complaints.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, such as recognition programs, team-building activities, and employee events.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, including minimum wage, overtime, and workers’ compensation.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, such as workplace accidents or employee misconduct.
  • Communicate HR-related information to employees, management, and external parties.
  • Support employee training and development programs.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
