Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts and Commerce is the largest Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVET) Institutions under the Ministry of Higher Education. The institution is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions:
6.0 HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT
6.1 HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER X 01
Main Duties
-
Undertakes effective human resource to ensure that the College has the right number of staff at the right time.
-
Assists in the undertaking of the recruitment and induction new members of staff
-
Assists in the Interpretation and implementation of the College’s terms and conditions of service, management decisions and policies relating to employment, compensation, training and development and staff welfare.
-
Undertakes the administration of the College’s Disciplinary Code and Grievance Procedures in order to maintain discipline and industrial harmony.
-
Assists in the implementation of the College’s staff welfare policies and programmes to boost employee morale and motivation.
-
Undertakes the updating and management of the Personnel Information System aimed at maintaining up to date personnel records.
-
Assists in the promotion of a positive industrial relations atmosphere in the College and deals with employee representatives.

Assists the Human Resource Manager to implement and monitor the APAS performance management system at the College.
-
Prepares and submits adhoc and periodic reports of the Sectional activities/affairs/performance and related issues
Minimum Qualifications
-
Full Form VI Grade 12 Certificate
-
B.A. In the relevant field of specialization.
-
A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
-
Affiliation to the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management is compulsory
-
The candidate must have at least 2 years work experience
-
Computer literacy (word, excel, power point packages)
-
Ability to work with minimum Supervision
-
Good interpersonal skills. A team player, good organizer, honest and highly professional
6.2 STENOGRAPHERS X 03
Main Duties
-
Undertakes the typing of a variety of correspondence, reports, minutes, memoranda, notices, lecture notes and handouts for the Head of School.
-
Undertakes the handling of confidential information and properly secures confidential documents and records
-
Screens phone calls, visitors and makes appointments for the superior
-
Ensures office is always clean and tidy in order to maintain good hygiene standards and good corporate image
-
Ensures speedy delivery/distribution and tracking of mail using an Activity Log Maintains an accurate and up to date filing system for ease reference and retrieval
-
Manages superior’s diary
-
Prepares and produces adhoc and periodic activity and performance reports on behalf of the superior.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Full Form V/ Grade 12 Certificate
-
Certificate/Diploma in Secretarial and Office Management
-
Must have at least one year’s experience
-
Computer literacy (word, excel, power point packages)
-
Ability to work with minimum Supervision
-
Good interpersonal skills, A team player, good organizer, honest and highly professional
