LIAS University College (Formerly Lusaka Institute of Applied Sciences Ltd) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Human Resources Manager. As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources and administration within the organization. This is a senior-management position that requires excellent planning, organizing, and leadership skills.

1. Key Responsibilities

• Interpreting labour laws and regulations to provide legally acceptable guidelines for operations

• Conducting budget preparations for the Human Resources and Administration department

• Monitoring changes in labour laws and informing management of significant characteristics in the labour market

• Conducting comprehensive job analysis for all identified vacancies and managing the recruitment process

• Managing the human resources of the college, including staff welfare, development, and performance

• Overseeing the disciplinary process and mentoring of staff members

• Managing the college’s transportation needs, including budgeting and

maintenance of vehicles

• Ensuring effective information communication and coordination within the

human resources department

2. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Resources and Management discipline with five years of experience at a management level; or

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources with ten years of experience at a management level

3. Required Skills

• Excellent planning and managing abilities

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

• Strong understanding of key employment and industrial statutes

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication, negotiating, and conflict resolution skills

• Strong data analysis and information management skills

4. Conditions of Work

• Office-based work environment

• Average physical effort required (sitting and standing positions)

• Substantial mental effort associated with the job

• No hazards involved in the performance of the job
