Job Purpose
The Human Resources Officer will be assisting the Head of the Department in the running of the department with a
larger emphasis on Training, Performance
Management, Industrial Relations, and all Employment Cycle activities.
Monitor and address all Employee welfare, safety, and recreation-related
matters in accordance with the organizations’ Health and Safety Policies.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Help to monitor and conduct Training and Development programmes as per the approved annual training calendar and budget.

Support organizational staff by establishing a recruiting and interviewing program, analyzing exit interviews, and recommending changes and current records.

Monitor participation and completion of assignments on the Company’s e-learning portal.

Generate e-learning portal reports.

Checking/verification of daily attendance.

Ensure that training is conducted according to the standards, practices, and policies set by the Group
-
Enhance the organization’s human resource planning,
implementing, and evaluating human resource policies and programs, and
practices
-
Assist the Regional Manager and Head of HR in collating feedback and identifying improvements to the performance management process.

Take the lead in administering and enhancing the Performance management system
-
Providing guidance to staff and assisting in implementing all issues
related to Industrial Relations and Labour or Employee-Management
Relations.

Liaising with Unions and management on Industrial
Relations issues and practices, with a view to broadening the
understanding of Industrial law.

Take the lead in checking/verifying of the payroll
-
Engage directly with line managers on personnel management
-
Retain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past
-
Conduct staff recruitment, orientation, placement, promotions, and separations as per Company policies
-
Conducting employee Career Development and Counseling through the use
of Career Path Analysis, i.e. Succession Plan, Promotion Policy.

Ensuring company compliance with statutory laws

Qualifications and Experience
-
Advanced Diploma / Degree in Human Resources Management or Business/Public Administration
-
Must have a
minimum of 4+ years of work experience in Human Resources in a busy organization or a multinational
-
Good knowledge of Zambian
Labour legislation and Compensation
-
Good Knowledge of
payroll systems and mandatory statutory deductions
-
Must be a member of ZIHRM
