JOB PURPOSE

To provide technical support and software development expertise to all users and other IT department units. The role includes Software installation, maintenance, and ensuring that all software-related incidents/faults are prioritized for resolution to minimize downtime. This also includes appropriate escalation of issues through the System Administrator as necessary.

3.0 KEY RESULT AREAS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Design, administration and Management of ICT Systems ·        Collaborate with System Administrators to design and implement software solutions.

·        Installation, support, and maintenance of all software applications, including but not limited to those running on computers (desktops, servers, and laptops).

·        Develop user business applications and ensure usability and accessibility standards are met.

·        Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all system/application resources.

·        Provide user support for software-related incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication throughout the process.

·        Conduct testing and debugging to ensure software quality and functionality.

·        Provide Support accurate hardware and software inventory database management.

·        Document development processes, code, and systems for future reference.
Security System

  • Install and maintain endpoint security on all client and server devices.

  • Ensure endpoint security applications are up to date.

  • Support IT security and data integrity according to ZCCM-IH standards and policies

Administration

  • Research and make recommendations on software products and services for procurement.

  • Conduct feasibility studies for software and system products planned for purchase and provide suggestions based on findings.

  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisors in the ICT department.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL/DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  1. Professional Qualification
    • Job holder must have a minimum of a Diploma in Software Development or related
    • Grade 12 certificate
    • Minimum 1 to 2 years’ work experience
    • Experience with programming languages such as C#, HTML, Python, SQL, and JavaScript.
    • Experience in Microsoft 365 applications, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction
    • Familiarity with development frameworks such as ASP.NET
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
      1. b)        Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
        • Strong working knowledge of software development, application integration, and proficiency with the Office 365 suite
