Home Neat Enterprises Limited is a Zambian company established in 2016. We are a manufacturer of building and construction materials for Zambia and Southern Africa.
We are looking an IT Officer will provide technical support and assistance to users within the company, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and maintaining IT systems. IT Officer will act as a bridge between users and the broader IT infrastructure, providing guidance and support to resolve technical problems.
Key Responsibilities of an IT Officer:

Technical Support: Providing assistance to users with IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.

Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues, either remotely or in person, by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems.

System Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, networks, and peripherals.

User Account Management: Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls for network resources.

System Monitoring: Monitoring IT systems to assess performance, identify potential issues, and ensure security.

Training: Training users on how to use IT equipment and software effectively.

Documentation: Maintaining records of IT issues, solutions, and system changes.

Collaboration: Working with other IT professionals and vendors to resolve complex issues and implement new systems.

Security: Ensuring security through access controls, backups, and other security measures.
Specific tasks can include:

Installing and configuring software and hardware.

Troubleshooting network and connectivity issues.

Supporting users with computer problems and resolving their issues.

Monitoring the health of the company’s Wi-Fi and internet services.

Maintaining printing services and user cards.

Assisting with system support for other company IT systems as needed.

Developing technology solutions upon request.

Preparing reports on specific projects.
Skills:

Strong technical skills in hardware, software, and networking.

Experience with relevant operating systems, software, and hardware.

Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.

Familiarity with network equipment and virtualization environments.

Strong verbal communication skills in English and potentially other languages depending on the organization
Qualifications
:

A Degree or Diploma is IT or related field

IT related Certification(s) will be added advantage
