Job Summary
The IT Manager will oversee the organization’s information technology infrastructure, focusing on the efficient and effective management of our core systems including Pastel accounting system and Pipedrive CRM, hardware, software, and overall IT operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of the company’s IT systems to support business objectives. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Pastel accounting systems, be adept in hardware and software maintenance, and demonstrate strategic thinking to align IT capabilities with the organization’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pastel Accounting Systems Management
· Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the Pastel accounting system to ensure seamless operations.
· Provide troubleshooting and support for Pastel users, ensuring minimal downtime and resolving system-related issues promptly.
· Conduct regular system updates and upgrades to maintain compatibility and optimize performance.
· Ensure proper integration of the Pastel system with other business tools and platforms.
· Manage system backups and data integrity to prevent data loss and enhance recovery processes.
2. IT Infrastructure Management
· Manage and maintain all hardware, including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
· Ensure the reliability and security of software applications, including antivirus and firewalls, monitor and optimize network performance to prevent downtime and connectivity issues, oversee the procurement, installation, and configuration of IT equipment.
3. IT Support and Troubleshooting
· Provide first and second-line support for hardware, software, and network-related issues across the organization.
· Establish and maintain IT helpdesk services for end-user support.
· Maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage their lifecycle.
4. IT Policies and Security
· Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with regulatory standards.
· Conduct regular IT security audits and implement necessary improvements.
· Ensure user access controls are appropriately managed and monitored.
5. Training and Development
· Train staff on IT systems, tools, and best practices to enhance their efficiency and productivity.
· Provide guidance and support on using the Pastel system effectively.
6. Strategic IT Management
· Collaborate with management to develop and implement IT strategies that align with organizational objectives.
· Stay updated on emerging IT trends and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and performance.
· Manage IT budgets, including the cost of systems, maintenance, and procurement.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Educational Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Professional certifications in IT systems, networking, or Pastel accounting systems are an advantage.
Experience
· At least 5 years of proven experience in IT management, with a focus on Pastel accounting systems.
· Demonstrated experience in hardware and software maintenance.
Technical Skills
· Expertise in implementing, managing, and troubleshooting Pastel accounting systems.
· Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
· Knowledge of data security and regulatory compliance requirements.
· Proficiency in managing enterprise IT tools and platforms.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Leadership and team management skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Uptime and performance of IT systems, including the Pastel accounting system.
· User satisfaction with IT support services.
· Timeliness and efficiency in resolving IT issues.
· Security and compliance of IT systems.
