JOB PURPOSE
To ensure all Airtel Money systems are aligned with business requirements, properly integrated, and supported to deliver the functionality and performance needed to achieve business goals.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
-
i.] Service and Partner Management
-
• Ensure that all system changes are managed in line with the agreed change processes to avoid outages caused by poor planning and execution.
-
• Regular Partner Governance and ensure compliance in all partner processes.
-
• Strict management of technology partners to ensure that all services are delivered in line with the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
-
• Work with IT security team to ensure that security and business continuity measures are available and tested on all Business support systems to safeguard confidentiality, integrity, and availability of service
-
• Service Requests and Change requests that ensure optimal scheduling of changes to minimize downtime and comply with internal and external change regulations.

ii.] Proactive Monitoring
-
• Proactively Monitor all systems via Grafana, Solar winds etc.
-
• Ensure 24/7 availability of the IT Network Operating Center.

iii.] Incident Management
-
• Ensuring prompt resolution of incidents in line with SLA’s and escalation to relevant teams where necessary
-
• Root cause analysis and change management.
-
iv.] Business Liaison
-
• Maintain a sound relationship with business functions to ensure satisfaction in the use of IT systems, manage expectations.
-
• Ensure that satisfaction scorecards are administered with all functions to gauge service levels.
-
• Regular business engagement & external partner engagement to improve operational efficiency.

v.] Compliance To Airtel Africa Security, Operational and Governance Policies
-
• Enforcement on of Airtel Africa Security Policy/Processes on existing applications and services and adherence thereof.
-
• User ID management, Ensuring Monthly QUV & CBN
Execution Excellence, Focus on the Customer, Build Collaborative Relationship
REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
-
• University Degree in Computer Science or any other related disciplines.
-
• Professional qualification in Project Management Techniques
-
• Professional qualification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), PMP, Kubernetes and SIX Sigma with a focus on IT.
Relevant Experience:
-
• 5-7 years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years in a management role, preferably within the Telecoms industry.
-
• Database Management, analytics and system integrations.
-
• Managing diverse and complex platforms and environments.
-
• managing technology partners.
-
• Demonstrated success in managing overlapping projects.
-
• Successful background with stakeholder/partner management.

• Problem solving and analytical skills, result oriented.

• Able to work within and manage a team of professionals, guiding and coordinating towards achieving common objectives.

• Strong ethics.

• Networking ability – Internal & External.

• A self-starter with strong business judgment who can initiate action and follow through with well-defined solutions and action plans.

• Ability to flex leadership style to accommodate a wide variety of team member styles and leverage team diversity.

• The ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients at all levels of the organization.
