Job description:
Purpose
Lead the planning and implementation of the IT & Digital infrastructure, working with internal and external stakeholders, specialists, consultants, and suppliers to identify requirements, develop budgets and organize projects from initial planning and development through to implementation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the development and implementation of tailored project management strategies and practices, aligned with strategic goals, business objectives and operational frameworks.

Establish and maintain project governance frameworks to ensure consistency across IT and digital teams.

Lead stage reviews to evaluate project health, progress, and outcomes.

Collaborate with business engagement teams to manage project demand, shape business cases, and define clear rationale, benefits, and ROI.

Manage project lifecycles, ensuring cost, time, and quality objectives are achieved.

Implement best practices, including Agile/Scrum methodologies, to optimize project delivery.

Facilitate daily stand-ups or Scrum of Scrum meetings to ensure seamless team coordination.

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard project objectives.

Manage change control processes to ensure project adaptability while maintaining alignment with organizational goals.

Ensure issues are identified, escalated, and resolved in a timely manner.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects in line with customer expectations and contractual obligations.

Develop systems for project monitoring, performance tracking, and reporting to key stakeholders.

Provide regular updates on project milestones, risks, and benefits realization.

Leverage programme reporting tools and methodologies to ensure clarity and precision in communication.

Supervise and mentor project management team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Provide constructive feedback, support, and coaching to enhance team capabilities.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems etc.

Masters will be an added Advantage.

Experience
-
Minimum 7 years of related experience in IT Project Management
-
Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure projects Lead or similar role
-
Experience managing IT Infrastructure projects or IT projects
-
Relevant Project Management certifications i.e. Scrum Master, PMP, Prince 2 certifications etc.

Member of ICTAZ or EIZ
